Do you think with words, or feelings?
I do not feel it is uncommon. I am that way to a degree sometimes more one day and less another. When their is a heavy subject to consider I respond to my feelings which, in turn, are difficult to form into words. But the words and sentences, you are correct, are simply to outline sequential cirstance and place one feeling before another (which appears contradictory because we can feel more then one or two feelings at one single time). I believe everyone at one time or another can be "at a loss for words". So, it would benefit to sit down and formulate why we feel such a way and what can we do about it and move from one emotion or another. But that does not mean it is any easier to formulate into words. However, it will be easier, once practiced, what you are feeling and why and then work on formulating appropriate responses. I wish luck
