Would you be upset if your son said this to you?

I have just been recently informed by my 17 year old son that until I get a better job, (I just lost my job of 11 years due to cutbacks) and change my lifestyle (I've been a loving, caring single dad who has devoted his life to his kids so I don't know what he's talking about) he no longer wants anything to do with me.
