Dodge Dakota Reliability?

I have '99 a v6 3.9l 2wd Dodge Dakota Sport with 80k miles on it. It's had numerous issues with alignment, breaks, oxygen sensor, speakers and recently a joint in one of the wheels was found completly snapped. (it wasn't a ball joint, i cant remember the name of it). We've spent over $3k in fixes in the past 7 months i've owned it. My question is, is this truck worth keeping? The total we bought if for (includ Tax) was $8k. According to KBB its worth about $5400. So we'd be loosing a huge sum of money. I'm afraid to expect more problems in the future. Is this typical for a dakota? I've read reviews on how unreliable they are (after i bought it of course), so i'm consenplating getting rid of it now before more problems come my way. Anybody alse have experience with Dakota's? Any advice, opinions are great. Thanks
