I am so drunk right now, and yet?

....Marijuana is still illegal, I could die from the amount of alcohol I'm consuming bet yet if instead I smoke one itty bitty joint I'm therefore a criminal? Does anyone else see the incredible double standard and hypocrisy involved in this?
