Do you think having high expectations of your children?

im a child not a mother haha but generally we want the expectations and the rules. its not like they are impossible to reach, we can definitely do them, and as long as you enforce it correctly we will do it correctly. not to be y or anything, but i am very well mannered, very polite, dont drink dont smoke, i respect my parents and what they say, although sometimes if i dont agree on something i will politely debate it, sometimes i win sometimes i dont, i get good grades and all around im a good kid. but if my parents hadnt expected me to be, i dont think i would have turned out the way i was.
